Full-time CEO

LeadingAge Georgia has an opportunity for a dynamic and innovative leader to be its next President and CEO.

Georgia is fast becoming one of the nation’s top retirement destinations. Our new President/CEO will be tasked to build on the many strengths of its members and help guide them to meet the challenging and ever changing demands and needs of seniors and their families. He/she shall also be comfortable and experienced in working with community leaders and legislative leaders to develop policies, programs and services to ensure these needs are met. An emphasis of experience would include a background knowledge of challenges faced by individuals seeking to make a decision for retirement living with Life Plan Communities or Affordable Housing, individuals seeking long term care with an emphasis on dementia and Alzheimer’s, Assisted Living, Hospice or Adult Daycare.

The President/CEO shall have a minimum of five years of successful leadership in which skills in collaboration, policy making, community relations and the ability to effectively communicate across multiple constituencies are demonstrated. Flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a high degree of political savvy are also important assets. A Bachelor’s degree is required, though a Masters is preferred.

The association represents: adult day services, home and community based services, senior retirement housing, assisted living communities, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, nursing homes and hospice care. Included within LeadingAge are three distinct organizations: The Georgia Institute on Aging, which is its education division; The Culture Change Network of Georgia, a nationally recognized leader in culture change; and The Center for Positive Aging, which is its consumer division. LeadingAge Georgia is based in Atlanta but provides services statewide.
