POSITION SUMMARY:
Located in Newnan, Georgia, Wesley Woods of Newnan is a Gracious Retirement Living Community with spacious accommodations and well-appointed amenities and beautifully landscaped grounds on a 54 acre campus.

Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Operations of Wesley Woods Senior Living, Inc.(WWSLI), the Executive Director leads the development and administrative operations of a large, complex retirement Community, including components of a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). In collaboration with other Communities and services of WWSLI, the Executive Director manages the programs and services of the retirement Community. The Executive Director is accountable for the financial operation of the Community; ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and certification standards; leading, managing and supporting the employees and volunteers of the Community; and for the development and management of a market oriented program of care and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning – In conjunction with the Vice President of Operations of WWSLI develops long-term and short-term plans for the Community, develops plans for new services at the Community including licenses, permits, marketing strategies, professional consulting, staffing, funding, etc. as needed. Maintains a current understanding of the work of Wesley Woods.

Operates – Operates the Community according to established governmental agencies. Operates as the Administrator of the personal care home and as the licensed Administrator of the skilled nursing home according to applicable governmental agencies, including the local health department and Georgia Department of Human Resources licensure requirements. Directs the day-to-day administrative and management functions for all aspects of the Community and staff, including dining and nutrition, physical plant and resident programs.

Develops – Develops and oversees the Community operating and capital budgets within the WWSLI financial services policies and procedures; obtaining approval from WWSLI administration, and the board. Develops and maintains needed processes and programs such as a marketing program to maintain census projections and an admission process for new residents.

Manages – Manages residential staff of 50-125 employees in accordance with Human Resources policies, providing the leadership in interviewing, hiring, disciplining, training and evaluating staff performance in collaboration the Human Resources administrative staff. Ensures staff attendance at required administrative educational offerings as appropriate; provide other opportunities for professional growth.

Relationships – Maintains appropriate working relationships with the Advisory Board as well as community and civic leaders. Cultivates relationships with established and prospective donors. Maintains volunteer network and maintains contacts with institutions. Makes presentations to appropriate community groups, donor groups or churches.

Implements – Implements and monitors corporate policies and procedures relating to safety, risk management, finance, human resources, and fund raising. Assists in the development of company-wide polices and procedures, updating as needed.

Oversees – Oversees the construction, installation or repair of capital improvements to Community property. Leads the planning and implementation of construction and repair projects.

Reports – Provides reports and/or related documents and materials to senior staff as needed. Maintains and provides appropriate documentation as required.

Professional Development – Pursues training and development opportunities, attending educational opportunities to keeps current in developments in important to the success of the program. Develops leadership team and ensures they receive necessary training and coaching to excel in their job performance.

Professional Standards – Demonstrates consistent and exceptional professional work behavior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in management. Master’s preferred.

Five or more years experience in administration and managing a residential Community or equivalent experience in a non-profit institution, including experience with a Continuing Care Residential Center (CCRC).

Nursing Home Administrator’s License

Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills.

Proven leadership and management skills.

KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Must be computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office Products Knowledge of technical requirements of regulations, budgeting, marketing and planning
Skills in collaborative management to lead diverse staff
Ability to analyze problems and propose solutions
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and make exceptional oral presentations

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment in a geriatric residential Community. Some travel required to administration offices and meetings.
