Full-time Chief Operating Officer (COO)

A.G. Rhodes Health & Rehab is hiring for a Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The COO directs, supervises and coordinates the overall clinical and business operations for the organization’s three skilled nursing facilities (the homes), and manages the administration and coordination of a comprehensive array of services and programs in accordance with state and federal regulations and current applied national and international methods and trends. The COO continuously monitors, evaluates and communicates the operational status of the homes and participates in strategic planning for the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and strong management for sustainability and best practices for the organization and residents.
• Build a strong, sustainable “one AGR” culture, infrastructure and model of care.
• Manage the homes’ Licensed Nursing Home Administrators and leadership teams.
• Work in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to produce realistic budgets and forecasting.
• Work closely with the management team to participate in the development and implementation of the mission, vision and values of the organization.
• Oversee operational and clinical responsibility for facilities.
• Hire, supervise and train facility Administrators at multiple locations, and Director of Clinical Services.
• Ensure regulatory compliance to all federal, state, and local regulations and laws relating to nursing home administration; guide facilities to operate within established company policies and practices.
• Guide administrators in the preparation/analyses of the financial operating budget, monitor monthly performance and guide key facility management to meet operational goals.
• Identify and develop key talent in order to facilitate promotional career growth opportunities.
• Assist facilities in obtaining appropriate support as needed including clinical, accounting, marketing and human resources.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Accredited four-year university degree required
• Current GA state Nursing Home Administrators license in good standing
• At least six years of operational experience with at least four years in direct administration of SNF operations with demonstrated operational success including exceptional patient service, growth in the census, compliance with state regulations and achievement of consistent star superior ratings.
• Strong problem-solving and group work leadership skills
• Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Sound computer skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours

Preferred Qualification:
• Training in Person-Centered Care
• Multi-site management experience
