Full-time Director, Homecare

at Wesley Woods Senior Living in Atlanta

Under the general supervision of the President | CEO, the Director will be responsible for the day to day operations and financial objectives of the Wesley Woods @Home Homecare program. This program provides clinical and non-clinical private pay, person-centered services that allow older adults to remain in the least restrictive care setting possible for as long as possible.

Key Responsibilities
Program Operations and Client Care
Participation in or development of all program objectives, standards of care, policies and procedures affecting clinical and non-clinical services with a person centered focus;

Provides leadership to shape team priorities and achieve program operational goals
Partners with the corporate and regional Leadership Teams to develop approaches that best position products, services or ideas in the marketplace.

Organizes information/data to identify/explain major trends, problems and causes; Compares and combines information to identify underlying issues. Generates actions to achieve long-range goals

Performs in-home assessments identifying client service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual clients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements

Promotes client's independence by working with the client to develop care goals; teaching and counseling clients, friends, and family members and reinforcing their understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills

Provides direct nursing care if necessary

Assures quality and safe delivery of care to all clients

Maintains documentation of client care services by auditing client and department records

Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory requirements through activities such as participating in State Associations, attending courses and reviewing industry publications

Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws, Department of Community Health regulations and the Company's policies and procedures

Marketing of service to potential referral sources and attendance at various community events that could assist in agency promotion and growth

Answers and provides ongoing communication to clients, staff and relevant family members on a regular basis

Financial Oversight
Maintain full responsibility of the overall functions of the financial areas and cost controls. Adheres to financial and accounting policies and procedure and manages expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner

Participation in program planning, budgeting, and evaluation activities related to the clinical services of the agency

Team Development and Management
Coordinates and manages of all services rendered to patients and families by direct service staff under his/her supervision

Participates in direct service recruitment, selection, orientation and in-service education;

Directly evaluates the competence of assigned personnel and participation with appropriate supervisory staff in the evaluation of other direct service staff;

Establishes criteria and/or work procedures to achieve a high level of quality, productivity or service.

Ensures effective and on-going, on-the-job training of team members, evaluates, records individual and team performance, provide coaching and counseling and makes appropriate developmental recommendations

Required Skills
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Broad knowledge of home care state regulations/administration
Outstanding leadership, managerial skills
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and assertiveness skills

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of seven (7) years home care, home health or healthcare experience
Minimum of five (5) years in home care or home health operations management preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in management, healthcare administration or other related field preferred

Working Conditions
Normal office environment and travel up to 40% of the time to locations that may include private homes and or geriatric retirement communities.
