Clairmont Oaks, a Senior-Living Apartment Community, is accepting applications for the position of LIFE ENRICHMENT COORDINATOR

Clairmont Oaks provides quality affordable housing and services to older adults. We welcome people of all faiths and beliefs. Clairmont Oaks is an outreach ministry of Decatur First Baptist Church. Clairmont Oaks is located in the heart of the City of Decatur.

The primary duty of the Life Enrichment Coordinator in collaboration with Service Coordination and Chaplaincy, is to encompass the 7 Dimensions of Wellness: Emotional, Physical, Social, Environmental, Occupational, Spiritual and Intellectual.

• Develop, organize, schedule, plan, publicize, monitor and evaluate resident social and educational activities:
· Manages the In-House Library including book inventory, greeting cards, cd’s and postage
• Recruit, train and direct volunteers – both resident and community.
• Publish monthly newsletter/calendar of events, “The Oakleaf.”
• Maintains budgeted expenditures.
• Supports the Resident Senate with Resident-run fundraising ventures, Fireman’s Fund letters and the semi-annual floor meetings
• Participates in Community Outreach
• Supervises the Bus Driver in All Transportation Duties serving Briarcliff Oaks and Clairmont Oaks.
• Manage New Resident Social with the Resident Welcoming Committee.
• Updates Life Enrichment Program information for the Resident Handbook.
• Collaborates with other departments on projects as needed.
• Attend weekly and monthly staff meetings providing updates in planned events.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Assistant Administrator.
• Support the mission of Clairmont Oaks Inc., a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Decatur, by providing quality affordable housing and services to older adults of all faiths and beliefs.

The ideal candidate possesses the following:
Two or more years of experience in coordinating Life Enrichment programs/events for older adults or similar responsibility.
• Minimum High School Diploma, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a group setting.
• Ability to work as a member of a professional team.
• Computer literacy, including social media.
• Ability to maintain a driver’s licenses (personal and commercial) with less than 2 moving violations or suspensions in a two year time period.
• Must maintain a positive state motor vehicle report for annual performance evaluation.
