Our client is a thriving continuing care retirement community campus located in the magnificent Upstate area of SC. Situated near the northwestern corner of SC in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and also along the shores of beautiful Lake Hartwell, the community is a beautifully landscaped campus offering a vibrant and welcoming environment for residents as well as visitors. They have established themselves as a distinguished community that provides top-notch services, programs, and facilities to ensure quality of lifestyle and continuum care of their respected residents. The community serves over 300 diverse residents in the 4 pillars of living options: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care.

We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and compassionate Executive Director to join this unique organization. The ED will have the primary responsibility to lead entire community, working closely in conjunction with residents, staff, and Board members to continue to drive business excellence forward. He/she will evaluate, plan, develop, implement all of the facilities various programs and activities in accordance with guidelines issued by the governing board. We seek a CCRC professional with proven experience in this type of leadership role, with strong business acumen to achieve annual revenue and target goals through effective budget and census management, while ensuring delivery of excellent care and services offered to all residents whether in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Skilled Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:
— Integrate strategic plan for daily operations and future planning of the community.
— Maintain effective professional relationships and communication with residents, residents' families, and to others to create a culture that reflects organizational values of care, integrity and respect and to assess satisfaction with services offered.
— Develop, with Accounting Manager and approval of Board of Directors, budgeting plans for all operational areas and identify opportunities for efficiency and for effective use of financial resources
— Assist in the fiscal responsibility for management of facility in the best interests of residents, staff, board, and the greater good of the community.
— Assist the board with the development of long range strategic plans, with priorities, objectives, and measurable goals, to ensure continued long-term success of organization and retention of the community's excellent reputation
— Assist in the establishment and direct administration of systems to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
— Empower and manage a leadership team that includes: Director of Nursing and Health Services, Director of Food Services, Director of Facility and Maintenance Services, Marketing/Admissions Manager, and Human Resources Manager.
o Establish measurable goals and benchmarks for all operational areas and track performance against agreed upon standards, objectives, and trends
o Work closely with operations leaders to monitor all indicators/metrics over all respective groups/functions to ensure optimal operations of each business unit, maintaining and improving quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of all areas within the community

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
— Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management leadership and planning in retirement community/CCRC environment.
— A results-driven individual with proven results regarding operational excellence, meeting/exceeding fiscal goals including operating profit/EBITDA, occupancy rates, successful surveys, and other significant KPIs relevant to CCRC operations.
— Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with all relevant audiences. Must be willing to be an accountable leader, and thereby foster accountability from team leaders and others.
— Work collaboratively with others to address issues professionally and with a sense of urgency, execute plans, and strive to foster unity.
— Strong relationship skills; ability to work with many types of people, and readily generate and maintain trust and rapport with others
— Master’s Degree in healthcare or related strongly preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or related, as a minimum.
— Dually licensed as a Nursing Home and Community Resident Care Administrator by State of SC.
