Service Coordinator

The Service Coordinator is an essential role on the management team serving older adults with affordable, safe housing at Decatur Christian Towers Senior Living Community.  Part of the Supportive Services team, this position serves a community of 230 residents.

Reports to: Community Administrator

Essential Functions:
· Carry out all interactions with strong interpersonal communication skills
· Maintain an active network of service providers in Dekalb County
· Maintain emergency contacts and resident family members
· Provide residents with educational opportunities and increase awareness of issues affecting older adults
· Excellent discernment in responding to requests for information as to not compromise privacy of residents
· Assist residents develop and implement plans that equip them to maintain their housing and care for their needs
· Coordination with leasing, maintenance and courtesy staff to effectively serve the residents as part of the management team
· Knowledge of Fair Housing guidelines and reasonable accommodation

· Organizational Skills and ability to prioritize
· Case Management Experience is preferred
· Computer Skills- Basic office platforms, email and office communications, internet research
· Team Player, flexible and adaptable

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing and walking.
